Hi, I’m Leah Culbertson, a product designer rooted in the Pacific Northwest, currently based in Portland, Oregon.
Growing up surrounded by forests and coastlines, I developed a deep appreciation for nature and hands-on craft. That love evolved into a passion for creating, first through painting, weaving, and ceramics, and now through product design. I’m currently finishing my Bachelor’s in Product Design at the University of Oregon, with a minor in Environmental Studies, where I’ve focused on sustainable practices and thoughtful material choices.
My design work centers on hard goods, especially furniture, ceramic products, and playful objects such as toys. I’m passionate about material-led sustainability and design that emphasizes playful exploration and user interaction. I enjoy hands-on prototyping and have a background in ceramics, woodworking, and 3D fabrication.
I’m currently looking for an internship or full-time design opportunity where I can continue to explore sustainable, human-centered design and keep making things that are both useful and joyful.
