Hi, I’m Leah Culbertson, a product designer rooted in the Pacific Northwest, currently based in Eugene and soon heading to Portland, Oregon.
Growing up surrounded by forests and coastlines, I developed a deep appreciation for nature and hands-on craft. That love evolved into a passion for creating, first through painting, weaving, and ceramics, and now through product design. I’m currently finishing my Bachelor’s in Product Design at the University of Oregon, with a minor in Environmental Studies, where I’ve focused on sustainable practices and thoughtful material choices.
My design work centers on hard goods, especially furniture, ceramic products, and playful objects like toys. I’m passionate about sustainability and always consider a product’s full lifecycle, including what happens at the end of its use. I'm experienced in Rhino, SolidWorks (certified), KeyShot, and Adobe Creative Suite (Mainly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), and I love prototyping through woodworking, 3D printing, and other hands-on methods.
I’m currently looking for design internship opportunities in Portland where I can continue to explore sustainable, human-centered design — and keep making things that are both useful and joyful.
